According to Iran's state news agency IRNA, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi expressed his sympathy to the family of Amini on a phone call and assured them that her death will be investigated carefully. Chief Justice of Iran Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje'i assured her family that upon its conclusion, the investigation results by the Iranian Legal Medicine Organization will be announced without any special considerations. Eseguita la prima condanna a morte per le proteste in Iran: Mohsen Shekari, 23 anni, è stato impiccato oggi dopo essere stato giudicato colpevole da un tribunale rivoluzionario di “inimicizia contro Dio”. Lo scorso 25 settembre bloccò una strada principale a Teheran e ferì con un coltello un membro delle forze paramilitari Basij.
L’appello di Amnesty: l’Iran fermi immediatamente le esecuzioni. Durante le manifestazioni contro il regime, le forze di sicurezza iraniane sparano da distanza ravvicinata alle donne colpendole al volto, agli occhi, al petto e ai genitali. I medici hanno detto di aver notato che le donne spesso arrivano con ferite diverse rispetto agli uomini.
