The hotspot of Lampedusa, where this morning at dawn there were 949 guests, which was almost completely emptied, Lampedusa, near Agrigento, Italy, 09 May 2023. Three hundred migrants have been boarded, in the late morning, on the ferry Galaxy that in the evening will reach Porto Empedocle. Of these, 50 unaccompanied minors will go to Puglia and 25 will remain in Agrigento. Adults will go 100 in Piedmont, 50 in Campania, 30 in Umbria, 15 in Molise, as many in Caltanissetta and 10 in Messina. Now are underway, for a total of 380 people, further transfers with military aircraft and in the evening, but it still awaits confirmation, further transfers should be made with the ship. LAMPEDUSA – C’è un disperso in mare, un minorenne originario del Gambia che viaggiava da solo. Lo hanno riferito alcuni dei 67 migranti soccorsi in acque internazionali dal mercantile Maersk Aegean che ha poi trasbordato il gruppo sulla motovedetta Cp319 della Guardia costiera.
I migranti sono originari del Senegal, Mali e Gambia e sarebbero partiti su un barcone di circa 10 metri, stando alle loro testimonianze, da Gas Garabulli, in Libia.
Il gruppo è stato già sbarcato al molo Favarolo di Lampedusa e trasferito all’hotspot di contrada Imbriacola.
